..because of the coolest little calle for fashion...

A tiny street, down in El Born, that looks too narrow to be safe, is filling with fashion forward shops, pop up stores and restaurants that range from hippie to uber hip.  Worth a wander!

...because we discovered Agua de Valencia...

...and it is NOT like 'Vichy Catalan' sparkling water. A friend arrived to visit who had seen the movie "Los Pasajeros Amantes" by Almodovar, where the passengers were drinking "Agua de Valencia" and he wanted to try it. We found it, appropriately and coincidentally, in a little bar in Calle Valencia.  A potent mix of gin, vodka, cava and orange juice. One glass is more than enough!

...because my Sunday croissant is gift wrapped....

...like a little present, making it even more delicious!  Bought from a little bakery, on a beautiful corner of Barcelona.

...because the best Peruvian restaurant must be the ones the Peruvians go to....

...Tanta, the Peruvian restaurant that the Peruvians go to... it must be good!  I have never been to Peru and only have my Peruvian friends to guide me and this is where they come (when they are not actually cooking food Peru).  It is a little 'mini-break' from tapas and a culinary journey to another continent. Delicious!
