huevos cabreaos ...  French fries, fried egg and spicy tomato salsa all mashed togther and 'very angry'(cabreaos). Unfortunately, there is no way to make it appear as delicious as it is!

One of the great things about friends visiting is that I get to see the city from new places. This time, we took the góndola (teleférico) from Barceloneta to Mont Juic for this spectacular view. And yes, it was sunny one way and cloudy the other!

I have watched the development of bicing from its introduction as a public transport system in 2007...it now spans the city, is organised, efficient (and even has its own App)and is an easy way to dash from one side of town to the other (no helmet required australians!). The only thing that hasn't developed quite as quickly as the system is the bike lanes... which do sometimes end abruptly leaving the option of a busy road (scary) or a busy footpath (illegal).

..the plazas are alive, the sky is blue and summer is on the doorstep...

..because even tulips are besotted with Barcelona...

Not only is it the only tulip named after a city, but it is named after this city.
