..because below the Barcelona of today ...

the Barcelona of old, and now it is proudly on display in the new Cultural Centre in El Born.  What started as a remodelling of the Born Market, was redirected when ruins from 17th century city were discovered.   Instead of a new market, a Cultural Centre was created to celebrate the old history of Barcelona. While I personally would have enjoyed it being a market, this centre provides some interesting insights into the phsyical and political developments of Barcelona and Catlunya.
