...because of the artisinal Gallery Market...

About once a month, there is a fashionable little market at the Gallery Hotel, put on by Barcelona Events & Markets. There are artisinal fashion stalls, a wine bar, a jazz singer/DJ and a cool vibe.  There really is also something for everyone (my friends and I found!).
The next one is on the 21/22 November (just in time for Christmas shopping), and if you don't want a shop, it is a nice place to stop for a wine.

...because Vegemite was lost, but now has been found again...

...thanks to shared information, a store that sells Vegemite in Barcelona has been located.  And not only do they sell Vegemite, also Marmite, TimTams, Baked Beans and even meat pies.  I love Spanish food but sometimes it is nice treat to have a Taste of Home!

... because of the Fira de Santa Llúcia...

...has been held in the Avenue of the Cathedral since 1786.  A fair that sells 'Nativity Scenes and Christmas Traditions', which include many versions of the kooky 'cagatio', the smiling log under which the gifts of Christmas appear on Dia de Los Reyes, 6 January. A place to find the Christmas spirit.

... because Barcelona goes organic...

...and a little bit of New York comes to Barcelona.  A restaurant, with a DJ on Sundays, organic groceries and an extensive menu of delicious ecológico food made at different stations throughout the place.  Fun and healthy... even the wine is organic (although I am not sure if that makes it healthy?!)

...because I found 'fiduea'...

... fideua (paella with pasta instead of rice..delicious!), paella marisco and judías pochas con almejas (white beans and clams). Casa Amalia is an authentic traditional restaurant, situated in a picturesque cobblestone lane, which is the next best location for paella to the beach. Perfect for some Winter warming.
