...because it is beautiful Baqueira time again....

...after Christmas in Australia, it is time to ski again! And Baqueira never disappoints. Located 3.5 hours from Barcelona, in the Val D'Aran, it is stunning and picturesque.....and has a Moet Bar on the slopes!

...because of stunning Salardú...

...situated in the Vall D'Aran.  This medieval vilage (with a permanent poplulation of about 478) is picturesque at every point.  I am fascinated by the rich history of this isolated valley, one example being the thirteenth century sculptures that have survived in the church of Sant Andreu de Salardú.

..because I am now Baquiera besotted...

...back at beautiful and breathtaking Baquiera/Beret in the Vall D'Aran, in the north of Spain...it is spectacular.

from Montjuic to Tibidabo, the city woke to a very beautiful and enchanting dusting of snow....

... from Viehla to Baqueira, the Val D'Aran is a picturesque valley peppered with medieval villages.  A place beautiful in the sunshine and in the snowfall... and only 3.5 hours from Barcelona.
