...through the clouds and the rain, we were granted a few magic moments to see this rare occurance.(And through sheer luck, I managed to get a photo of it!)
For a sporting and spectacular adventure, we went to Platja Es Castells on the Costa Brava for an afternoon of kayaking along the coast north up to Cap Roig. Our guide told us the history of all the little calas (coves) along the way. It was interesting, fascinating and fun... and at time a little adventurous when we had to navigate through the rocks and the waves.
...Grand Hotel Central. Undoubtedly my favourite pool deck in Barcelona. Open from 20.30h to the public, but best enjoyed if you have friends staying there!
...summer time is 'roof top terrace' time! A couple of years ago I did my best to visit all of them - check my link to 'roof terrace' to see my selection. Summer is back, visitors are back and it is time to enjoy them again and the different and spectacular vistas that they offer of this city. Alaire at Hotel Condes, offers a view of both Gaudi's Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera! A special view - best enjoyed with a cold copa de cava. And at nights they offer a selection of live music entertainment. UN BESO: Alaire Terrace Bar, Hotel Condes de Barcelona, X http://www.condesdebarcelona.com/en/hotel/
